What can I expect?

Visiting a new church can make you nervous.

By answering some of your questions ahead of time, we will try to make that experience easier for you.

    How should I dress?

    What you wear is completely up to you. People in our church family wear a variety of clothes. Come dressed for your comfort in a manner that shows respect for a worship experience.

  • 2.
    How will I be greeted?

    Greeters will meet you in the gathering area, and can tell you what to expect in the service that day. They will offer directions to worship areas.

  • 3.
    Will my children be included?

    Children of all ages are important to us. Nursery care is available during the worship service for children under 5 years of age. Sunday School classes are available for all children and youth.

  • 4.
    Will I be called on during the service?

    No. We want you to feel at home during your visit with us.

  • 5.
    Will I be expected to give to your offering?

    No. You are our guest, and we want you to receive God’s blessing during your visit. Sharing is between you and God.

  • 6.
    Will the pastor’s message be long or boring?

    No, messages are to encourage you and help give spiritual direction for your life. Messages typically last about 20 minutes. Our congregation struggles with the same issues as you. We all are seeking spiritual direction in meeting the everyday joys and concerns of life.

  • 7.
    Can your building meet my special physical needs?

    Yes. We have an elevator located off of the parking lot. Large print bulletin are also available. If you have need for these please ask an usher. If you have a special need please call ahead (814) 467-6179 and we will answer any questions you may have.
